first official day.

Saturday was our first offical day in Hong Kong. We got picked up from the airport and drove straight to our accomodation in Causeway Bay. Our driver was like 007, speeding and weaving in and out of lanes, like we were in a car chase. After a short tour by our contact, Jacky from Next Step Connections, and meeting up with the rest of the Hong Kong 5, we settled into our rooms and had our first meal as a collective in Hong Kong. With my basic knowledge of Cantonese and limited speaking skills, we survived our first restaurant meal, grabbing a classic Wonton Noodle Soup. It was exactly the way I remembered eating it as kid in Malaysia, a great way to start the three month stay in Hong Kong. We then went to Ikea to buy some necessities and scoped out the nearest supermarket for food.

After a long day of travel and long day of settling in, we all had a fat as sleep.
